Helping women get healthy, regain their figure back, cultivate a life they love and happiness is my passion.

My belief….

To be healthy as a lifestyle it’s not about  just a diet, it’s not about calorie counting and the latest fitness fad.

I am amazed as to how many people ask me if I’m vegan, vegetarian, paleo or if I follow any of the latest fad diets. I don’t follow fad diets or the latest exercises.

I believe everyone is a bio-individual and listening to your body and feeding it with foods and exercise that  nourishes and strengthens it should be the focus and not the label. 

I’m a connoisseur of healthy foods and love to eat. 

I love cooking great tasting healthy food and teaching my simple yet effective cooking techniques to others. I love activities that are fun and keeps my body strong, toned and energized. I love to golf but I’m not very good at it. I can out drive my dad, which feels good to me but not to him though. 

My mission……  

I’m on a mission to bring Healthy Connoisseur’s together to support one another and to share a healthy lifestyle that focuses on overall wellness and happiness. 

Often times, living a healthy lifestyle is shunned upon by family, friends and others who don’t follow the same desires to be healthy as we do. Sometimes we feel like outsiders. The world is hurting with diet related diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, heart diseases, depression to name a few. These people resist change and will put you down for trying to better your life.  

We have a choice to follow the rest of the world or create a healthier path for ourselves. And this is the intention for the Healthy Connoisseur Movement. 

Over the past 30 years, I have perfected  my techniques, skills and created empowered actions through my nutrition, fitness, lifestyle and healthy cooking programs that will help you understand your body and inspire change in you quickly and easily.

My Story……

Let me share with you why I’m so passionate about being a Healthy Connoisseur and offering support to others. 

I’ve had some really emotionally and physically  tough  times in my life- a bad back injury, divorce, caretaking a sick husband fight his battle of cancer only to lose him six months later to a brain stem stroke.

This was a very stressful time in my life and I experienced first hand how stress affects the body. I was gaining weight every year, fat around my hips, butt and thighs. I had developed high cholesterol.  Then I went into  menopause and let me tell you, boy was that a crazy body changing experience not to mention dreaded meno-pudge I developed.

I’ve also had some really great times in my life  like the birth of my son, being blessed to have found and married another soul mate, the birth of my grandson. cindiecollage

Through the tough and amazing moments in my life, I have always known three things to be true:

  1. Life is short. I know, it’s cliché, but it’s very true too. Keeping this in mind, even during times of tragedy and change, is the key to respecting your body and building a foundation for the future.
  2. The power of the mind and its connection to the soul. Our mind has the power to heal, harm and help us change.  Our soul has the power to guide us. Keeping these forces aligned can elevate and restore control to your life.
  3. Our purpose on this planet is to embrace our uniqueness. Life is about celebrating your authentic mind and healthy body. Don’t waste your time here. 

 

My mission is to inspire you to get healthy through lifestyle changes: to obtain a body that you’ve always wanted or bring back your body from neglect into  the hot body it once was.

Don’t think as you age you cannot have the body you’ve always dreamed of or bring the body you once had and loved back because I’m living proof. 

Work with me and you will cultivate a healthy mind-set shift.

I will teach you healthy cooking time-saving techniques, encourage you to eat more nutrient dense tasty plant-based foods and incorporate fun activities that will keep you moving.

I will help you get super clear and real on what its going to take to get you from where you are now to where you want to be in one month, one year from now, where you want to be for the rest of your life.  

Because it worked for me. I lost weight and inches all over my body,  dropped my cholesterol down by 65 points and my energy skyrocketed.

I’m in the best shape of my life, at my ideal weight and I’m doing what I love to do.
